And here’s what I said to him

Yes.
Yes you are struggling with bandwidth

Because you don’t say ‘no’ often enough

Because you think you are a magician and you can make it all happen, even when your experience tells you that you’re not.

Because you want to feel like you are working hard

Because you are taking on work without defining the scope and deliverables, so… everything goes!

Because you are charging too little for your work.

Because you don’t push back when you should.
It’s okay to say, “I can’t take this on right now”. Just tell them why!

You have to realize, that the way you value and treat yourself is the way most people will value and treat you.

There are exceptions but largely… It’s on you.
