How I now count positive climate impact

There’s a study and we talked about it all day at the record-breaking global book signing event for The Carbon Almanac which I was privileged to host alongside Etrit, Rob, Tania, and some of the most amazing people in the TCA community.

The study says that to change any society you only need 20% of that society to agree to the idea, so I started counting backward.

Each time I get someone to agree on a climate issue, I count minus 1

Each time I get someone to switch to an electric car, I count minus 1

Each time I convince someone to let the forest grow, I count minus 1

Each time I get someone to buy The Carbon Almanac, I count minus 1

Each time I get someone to tell someone, that’s minus 2

It appears we can get a fraction of society to agree and act.
