Practicing gratitude is finding something that is working, no matter how small and acknowledging it, regardless of what’s not working. Sometimes it means looking at what’s not working and acknowledging that it’s not that bad.
Here’s what practicing gratitude can do…
It can help you be more responsible. Paying attention to a situation to find what works or doesn’t is a level of responsibility and when you do that consistently, it might help you take responsibility in other areas of your life.
It can increase your awareness and teach you to focus. Paying attention enough to find something to be grateful for, not only makes you more aware of the situation but also your environment which is a quality trait in addition to upping your ability to focus. If you have trouble paying attention, you should practice gratitude.
It can help you stay positive. Being optimistic can affect your productivity level tremendously. Believing that a problem can be solved increases the supply of the energy you need to solve it. Practicing gratitude, looking for what works, and acknowledging it helps you stay hopeful and positive.
