The stories we tell

And the roles we play in them

When we tell our stories and the stories of others, we have a chance to be the hero…

First, in the story, if we play a role in it, simply by being kind, and human. Acting and reacting with care and enthusiasm.

Then, in telling the story, whether we play a role in it or not, simply by telling it sincerely from a point of meaning and only when it helps others or when we absolutely have to.

When we tell stories from a point of derogation, we remind ourselves and the people we tell it to that we don’t care how we make others look and that in itself is a story about us.

Maybe some stories are not worth telling.
